Since becoming a financial advisor, John has learned that managing his clients’ behavior is equally as important as helping them manage their investments. He avoids following the herd by taking measures to prevent his clients from making emotion-based investment decisions. Investing can be enjoyable and given the opportunity to be successful when conducted in a rational manner.
John began his investment industry career in 1984 with McLaughlin, Piven, Vogel, Inc., where he primarily specialized in fixed income securities. In 1988, he joined A.G. Edwards (now Wells Fargo Advisors) and expanded his practice to include equities, options, mutual funds, and insurance products. In 2009, John joined Stifel for its client-first culture and entrepreneurial spirit. Stifel also offers the investment products of a large firm with the personal touch of a boutique.
John enjoys traveling the world and experiencing different cultures with his wife. They are focused on spending their kids’ inheritance, and he encourages his clients to do the same!
